LG VX6000 alert signals

Is there anyway on the LG VX6000 to have it remind you that you missed a
call or have voice mail messages waiting? I know that you can set a tone to
sound when the message first comes in or the missed call first happens, but
what I would like is a "reminder" tone every minute or something like that.
If I am in a busy place and don't here the alert when the message first
comes in, it would be hany to have a sound tell me a each minute or so that
I have a message. I tried all the settings I could find and couldn't get
anything like this.

I thought maybe the two minute alert under the message settings would do
this by sounding an alert every 2 minutes if I had voice messages or missed
calls, but I turned it on and still don't get anything. What exactly is the
2 minute alert supposed to do anyway?

Thanks!

On the VX 4400, the only way to get repeating alerts every few minutes
is to set the alert to vibrate and remind (or something like that, I
don't remember the exact words).

The phone will still ring and otherwise behave as you wish. But, if you
have a voice mail, it will start dancing across the table every few
minutes.

On the 4400 I've found no other solution to the lack of VM reminder - a
real drawback to an otherwise quite good phone IMHO.

I have the LG6000

It took me forever to find this but there is a settings that will
vibrate every 2 minutes if there is a voicemail waiting. It is VERY
hard to find.... I reviewed the manual over and over and failed to
find it. I saw a comment here once and did it. When I get to my phone,
I'll see if I can find it again. It is there... keep trying.... works
nicely when you enable this.

try this:

menu 4-6-4-1 I have mine set to vibrate and sound

I cannot remember if this is the one you want or the red-herring (the
other one that does not really solve the problem)

and 4-6-4-5 is the option to turn ON 2 minutes reminder

Thanks for the reply...

I do have 4-6-4-1 set to vibrate and sound.

I get a notification when the message is first left, but no reminders after
that.

Hi again,

Yes... I have this option turned on, but I don't get any notifications every
2 minutes... I only get the initial notification when the message first
comes in.

So... does this mean my phone is not working correctly?

Thanks!

If you find an answer I'd like to hear it. My phone is set just as
yours and does not remind me either. I have S/W version T60VZV06 under
menu option 9.9.2. Is yours the same?

Worked immediately - thanks

Now if only there was a way to display how many voicemails are
waiting..........

(like with my trusty old StarTac)

I went to the Verizon store where I bought the phone and exchanged it for
another one and it works fine with the 2 minute alert turned on. Appears to
have been a s/w problem of some sort. In any case, it works fine now.

Thanks for your help.

The s/w version you have is the same as that on my original phone. I
exchanged the phone for another one at the Verizon store today and the new
phone works fine with the same s/w version. Not sure what was wrong with
the original phone.

Good luck!

Well... now I don't know what to think. I programmed my voice dials and set
up my contacts in groups and the every two minute alert quit working again.
I'd rather have those functions than the reminder alert so I'll probably
keep the phone, but it does seem to be a flaw in the vx6000 since it
happened on both phones I tried it on.
