Community Members,

I have run the command sfc /scannow as an administrator and I have recieved the message "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them".

I would like to fix these corrupt files by replacing them from the Windows 7 install disc. I have been reading about a way of unpacking the install grouped file on the disc in an image hard drive for Windows Vista. I am wondering if someone could walk me through step-by-step how to replace my files in Windows 7.

Cheers,
Simon

Hello Herr_Koos, thankyou for your response. When I inserted the CD and booted I only got the option to install and I was worried that if I explored this option there may be no going back and it would completely wipe my system. Is there additional options once the install function is explored? Cheers, Simon
