Now I know I do not have somethings picked out yet. (eg. HD, CD-ROM, Buner ect...) How am I doing so far is this system going to be good? How long will it last me? Is it going to be fast. (I do not plan to Overclock well frankly becuase I do not know much about it yet, but I am going to research about it.) Stable? Reliable?

Sounds like a decent start, but if i wuz you, i would wait about 1-2 months for the hammer cpu to come out. It should drive doen the cost of current amd cpu's quite a bit. I might go with a cheaper vid card though. I have found that buying top of the line stuff just isnt worth the price. Have you heard that computer speed doubles every 18 months? That means exponential growth interms of speed. So if it is brand new, it could be buggy and is usually very expensive too. As far as components go, that sounds like a winner. That is what i would buy if i had that kinda cash! hope that was helpful!

If an orange was driving a racecar would it peel out?

Yea. Thanks but I really don't have the desire or time to wait to build. I want to build now! Anything up there bad or should I get different? I also have a question I hope someone can answer. Do I need a Heatsink with my stuff? My Case has 4 cooling fans! So.....do I still need a heatsink? Thanks.

The retail XP1900+ retail box you listed will come with a HSF and will do fine if
you don't OC.

O.k. Thanks. Does anyone have any suggestions for a Hard Drive? I was thinking about putting 2 in. Maybe one being 40 GB and one being 80 GB. Total of 120 GB. I am leanign more towards the Maxtor but WD I might look into to. Would it be a bad idea to put 2 different brands of Hard Drives in? Thanks for you help!!

The best option is to go <A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com//modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewforum&f=9" target="_new"><b>Here</b></A> and <A HREF="http://www.storagereview.com/" target="_new"><b>Here</b></A> and do a lot of reading then make an informed decision.
