I posted this a wile ago, and got no responses:

Have you guys seen those sony vios with the tiny power amp in the back for powering those two small speakers? I think it would be neat to do the same to my case (which is big enough to fit several power amps in there). I mean, think about it, if you went to a lan all you would have to do is bring some speakers and 2 lenghts of speaker wire and then just run them from your box. Not to mention you would be the envy of your fellow lanners!
One feasable method I have worked out would be to get a small car amp like 200 watts peak by 2 channels (which is basically what a car stereo deck puts out) and have it draw power from a burly psu (like a 650 watt unit). I have a small amp that doesnt work, but the power and signal input is just like like the auxiliary "plug" on the psu. You see, i am trying to create the pretty much self contained "does it all" Laning machine. If you could throw an amp in it you would be allset! So what are your opinions on this?

Thanks in advance

If an orange was driving a racecar would it peel out?

if you were running a 200 watt stereo at a lan party you would likely get beat down. not to mention those things get damn hot. but if you really want to, sounds like you already got if figured out.

i went to the tomshardware forums and all i got was this lousy signature.
