Hi guys,
I have been trying to install America's Army for about 2 weeks now.

That's the message i get everytime i try to install it.

Aye I'm on vista ...
I am the only user on the pc except guest so i am obviously admin.
I've ran as administrator.
I've even tried to turn off that thing ...
That means yu have to approve of every installation ...

That didn't work though :(

Any help from you guys would be appreciated :)

I've run into this problem myself. America's Army apparently hates Vista.

Essentialy the User Accont Controller isn't letting the installer run as administrator.

Here's what I did to get around it.
Open the context menu on the command prompt, and "run as administrator".

then run msiexec /i "America's Army.msi" from whatever location you have that file stored.

Note that you might need to be running as an admin to play.

I don't understand

msiexec /i "America's Army.msi"

The answer is in Sengoku's last post.

That is you need to be in the folder or directory that the install is in when you use the command.

The way I would do it would be to move the installer file to your root folder (C: ) and open a command window. Start>Run> CMD for XP don't know about Vista. Type "cd \" (without the quotes) and hit enter. Then type the command, msiexec /i "America's Army.msi" . Otherwise you would have to navigate in the command line to the directory where the installer is.

I believe you would put where the file is saved before you put America's Army. If you where using windows xp this is how it would look and it was in your documents "msiexec /i C:\Documents and Settings\"username"\My Documents\America's Army.msi"

you of course would put your user name, I'm pretty sure this is what your supposed to do.

You'll kick yourself after reading this XD. If you haven't figured out how to install AA on Windows Vista right click on the installer click the "Compatibility" tab and look at the bottom for "Privilege Level" and check the "Run this as an administrator", or just right click the installer and click "Run as administrator" I didn't do that but it sounds like it would work(I just found while installing some games on my new computer ^_^)

At the compatibility tab, select the checkbox that says "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and in the scrolldown menu, select Windows XP Service Pack 2. At the privelege level, select the checkbox beside "run this program as an administrator". This works, and it's how I got mine to work.

If you are loginig in as an administrator try this one :

Right click on aainstaller.exe which is the file that you downloaded click " Run as Administrator".

It may help.
