I installed both these from Fileplanet tonight and Damn Im blown away by them both. I really didnt expect much out of Timeshift but its damn cool, the water effects and action and timefreeze are kick ass! COD4 was pretty much what I expected,it looks really good, the animations are good and action is constant! There is so much more going on in these games now and running them on all best or high settings at 1920 x 1200 is jawdropping. I cant wait to see the Crysis SP demo in 2 weeks. November will be the best month in PC gaming history. UT3 is looking good too! Download and try these 2 out, if you have the system to run em. Best graphics Ive seen yet!

timeshift was the biggest surprise, it looks great and it was really fun too. i was expected more from cod4 but it was good enough for demo at the very least.

I thought COD4 looked like 2003 graphics if you ask me.

COD 4 looks great, kinda wish it was a multiplayer demo though :(

I played MOH:A and CoD4 demos last night, even though they are in wars generations apart, it felt like I was playing the same game. After playing the first MoH and CoD, I just can't get myself into the rest of the sequels. Both seem like fun games, just not my type.

I wanted to try out Timeshift (I downloaded it), i'll give it a go tonight, and Avencast.

To me MoH:A felt like CoD2 should have been, I absolutely hate the spray-lagg thing where you dont need to aim at ALL to hit people in CoD2.
I was also quite impressed with the level designs in MoH:A you can almost get lost on some of them, much much less linear than the first MoH, and there are all these little rooms and things. Its realy rubbish having

I felt the game could have been longer and the story line could have linked the missions better, its seemed like a random collection of good levels.

The graphics look great and the final mission is so hard (I played on hard lol), the weapon upgrades added something to the same old weapons, (all the same as Call of Duty 2 with 1 new grenade lol)

oh yeah you need a decent graphics card to get the most out of these games tho, im waiting a bit to get a 8800 gtx

UT3 should be out today, gonna give that a whirl after work. Timeshift and COD4 are looking really good but I have high hopes for UT3.

I wasn't overly impressed with CoD4. Not bad but I was looking for something to rival Crysis and it wasn't there. But it does have a nice fast pace realistic action. Well sort of, I found you could take allot of bullet shots but if you were anywhere near a grenade you were dead. Also I didn't like the huge crosshair. You know they were thinking about the consols with that one and that really sucks.

for all we know, Crysis could suck amazingly hard, and then COD 4 would have beaten it

I know I'm going to get flammed over that but to me that's what it is. I think Crysis has better graphics than CoD4. Atleast comparing my experience with the beta.

I'm not going to flame your opinion. I also have high hopes for Crysis. I dont think COD 4 is the best graphics, but I think with a couple more options to change things around in the full version, it might produce some more than average graphics like Crysis.

i had expected MUCH more from CoD4. The graphics in the demo wont go higher than "Normal". Now it looks just like CoD2. The game plays nicely. The multiplayer should be great..
I played timeshift demo too, and i was stunned from the graphics, it looks SOO nice, the rain effects (even in slomo the rain slows down real nicely)

I am now downloading the UT3 demo

Its a short demo, but its a "must have" I think.

Yeh I think both are worth buying at this point. COD 4 mulitplayer will be alot better i think and Crysis will be a great single player game much like Far Cry was in 04. You must have a good card to see these games in all its glory. 8800 series card is prefered all settings on high. Timeshift is kick ass in 1920 x 1200 maxed settings, the water effects are better than Bioshock!
