I don't want to discuss about Crysis beign a BETA and this kind of stuff. It's just like.. Man, I can't imagine a Game that doesn't even RUN (I mean RUN, 640x480, no AA, no AF, LOW quality) in my ATI Radeon 9600XT.
Since I DO run Half-Life 2 in DirectX 9 mode, High details, High quality shaders, no AA and 4xAF with a reliable 50~60fps (or more), I can't imagine a game that simply doesn't RUN on it.
If that's true, man, Crysis will make me have an orgasm. Surely.

I'm hoping that the post was sarcasm...

Well, for no Crysis requires a 9800Pro
Ok, Ok, it's a 8 pixel pipeline card and 9600XT is a 4 picel pipiline one. Even with the 500Mhz of the 9600XT it's not so good. But... I mean RUN.
You know...
640x480
VEEEEEEERY low details
Low sound quality
NO AA, NO AF
Bilinear Filtering (if available)
and other crappy stuff.
So... if I can run HL2 n almost maximum settings and get a good performance, and can't even RUN Crysis, then, god, Crysis will be simply... orgasmic XD
Or... how ppl say... VALVe guys are wizards when it come to compatibility. Source games run even in a DX7 card.
Please, don't understand me worng. I'm not saying "CRYSIS DON'T RUN IN MY RADEON 9600XT! WHAT A ****! THAT'S IMPOSSIBLE! THE SURCE ENGINE IS BETTER!", I'm saying "Wow! Crysis won't run in my Radeon 9600XT! That's a ***** good game! I can't believe that! It should be... amazing!"
I'm not being critic or sarcastic, I'm just saying that I can't believe, I can't imagine a game that simply won't run in my Radeon 9600XT. It would be so real that would scare me, I think.
Are there any picture of crysis running in DX10 mode?
From all my research to see if my rig was good enough.
AMD 4000 and Radeon X800 Pro I found that several factors are critical.
To play with over 30 FPS on medium or high your gonna need at least dual core processors.
To have anything less then a Radeon 1600XT or Nvida 8800
Or a SLI/Crossfire your not gonna get good FPS either.
Got all that but not Vista then no DX10 for you and no way to play the game at its full potential.
