Hi,
Some have add-on cards, others have it built in as part of the motherboard.
Look at the back of the pc, see if there is what looks like an oversize
phone jack input. This would be an RJ-45 jack, or network connection. If you
don't have one, but have a pci slot available on the motherboard, you can
easily add a $20 card.

or just look in the device manager (run-devmgmt.msc) for network
adapters & see what you have there. Another way of checking is to use
the command prompt to issue the command "ipconfig /all", which should
also provide a description of any networking devices. You should then be
able to tell whether you have a network card, networking LAN inbuilt on
the motherboard or perhaps both?
