I recently had a DSL line installed and I would like to share my internet connection between my desktop and my laptop. I figure that I will need at least a PCMCIA card for my laptop, a router or hub (I'm not sure which), and some Ethernet cabling. I have three questions:
Do I need a hub or router or will a DSL modem suffice as a substitute? (Sorry if that strikes some as a stupid question.)
Does anyone have any opinions on a website where I can get a cheap hub/router [< 150] (whichever I may need)? Any views on a particular brand/model?
Does anyone know of some good websites to recommend on constructing small home networks?

you will just need a network card in the desktop and the laptop and a router, i recomend the linksys cable/dsl router, i has a built in switch, no need to buy a hub. you can connect 4 computers to the same connection, its really easy.

how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal
