I would like to hear from anybody that has used or is using SodaPop mail.
Is it any good?
Does it allow you to keep messages the messages on the server?
Did using it start any noticeable spam mail or text messages to the phone?
Limit of messages on the phone?
If you have anything else you can offer that would be great.

I haven't tried Soda Pop Mail, but I'm using the new email app from
Get-It-Now called Email Executive with my LG VX4500.
EE works very well (fast), has a clean interface, and allows up to 7
email accounts. It has a contact list of up to 50 addresses and also
has its own list of up to 50 editable quick note messages. The mail
stays on the server unless you delete it. It only downloads headers
and does not store anything on your phone. If you read an email, it
then downloads the body temporarily. When you sign off of EE, it
clears the memory it used, but it leave your mail untouched on your
server -- unless you manually deleted specific messages.
EE costs 4.99 per month ($2 more than Soda Pop) plus air time usage
and has a one day free trial if you want to give it a test drive. I
can highly recommend it.
I have not noticed any increase in spam with this GIN application.

I have used if for about a year now and love it.
It has no option to remove from the server (so yes it leaves it on the
server)
No. It is just a client to check e-mail. Unlike vtext.com, it does not
give you another e-mail address.
No. This is due to fact you don't download to the phone. Its more like
using a web browser to check your regular POP mail that so many ISP's now
offer.
Good program in general, a bit slow but very handy in a pinch.
Now if you had the i700....now that is a cool phone.

Can you set it up to automatically check emails? (check for new mail every half hour?)

If I had a lot of things that would be cool...

From what I read, no
I just need to know the limit on the number of characters and the other questions I asked.

You can delete mail from the server by pressing "2" while positioned
on the message in the list.
I believe the character limit for downloading messages is 6,000. I've
found it never gets that high. Something usually causes long messages
to get cut off before they reach 6,000 characters.
The only real complaint I have is the inability to use predictive text
entry. You have to use the tap method to type messages.

Actually I want to make sure the messages stay on the server until I get back to my desk machine, if
SodaPop mail doesn't remove them that is perfect.
I think you answered the last few questions I had, thank you.
at $2.25+- a month it makes it cheaper then the text messaging plan I have and I get more
characters. This would be good when I get an automatic email because of a problem at work. Right
now most of the message gets cut off.
