I have no experience with ASUS A7N266-VM, but you should be fine with it. I am personally using MSI K7N420 Pro. It's a great board. But A7N266-VM seems better for you because it will save about 33% money per board.

What Audio Compression Technology you use for storing music? <A HREF="http://forumz.tomshardware.com/community/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&p=25137#25137" target="_new"> Tell Here</A>

I just setup a computer using this motherboard for my brother. Installed XP 1700+ and two 128MB sticks of DDR266 memory, Western Digital Special edition hard drive, Windows XP Pro ... No problems whatsoever.
