I have the MSI K7N420 PRO motherboard and am using the PC Alert 4 to monitor the temp, voltage, fan.
the voltage readings are:
Vcore = 1.73 - 1.76
3.3V = 3.12 - 3.16
+5V = 4.89 - 4.92
+12V = 11.76 - 11.82
My question is wether or not these readings are OK?
System Specification:
AMD Athlon K7 Thunderbird 1.4 / 266
2 X 256 = 512Mb DDR PC2100
Asus Geforce 4 Ti 4600 Ultra Deluxe
2 WD Hard Drives 60GB & 120GB respectively
Soudblaster Audigy Platinum EX
Adaptec SCSI 2930 Ultra
Yamaha CDRW SCSI Ultra
Pioneer DVD ROM 16X UATA
also i have enable the etherner and audio that are onboard.
Although my system works fine i was wondering if the psu is ok as well.

The 3.3v and 5.0 volt lines are low. This could cause major instabilities. Especially in demanding games. Voltages should not vary by that much.

I aint signing nothing!!!

is it because of the power supply?

my 3.3 and 5 are even lower than that and I haven't suffered any instability yet. This is not true for others though.

It's always darkest just before it goes pitch black.

the power supply is the most likely cause, could be the motherboard, but not too likely. or it could be that the readings are just messed up.

how do you shoot the devil in the back? what happens if you miss? -verbal
