I plan to use match a P4/2.4 533 with the Shuttle AS45GT motherboard. Is this a quality board? It seems to include everything as well as the kitchen sink, but I haven't seen much mention of this brand on the boards here.
I'm also still toying with the notion of going with the Athon XP 2400 and MSI KT3 Ultra2-BR board, but I'm not positive I can get the XP 2400 at my local dealer. Any opinions / suggestions are welcome. Thanks!
This board should work well for you, and provide some overclocking options. A better board is the gigabyte 8sg667. If you get this board, ask for version 2, with voltage adjustments.
Thanks for the help. Which board actually has a version 2? I couldn't find any reference to a newer version on either the Shuttle or Gigabyte webpages.
You'll have to trust the vender on that info. They don't list it on the package. The gigabyte board is the one with version 2, but version one may overclock well with quality memory and the right p4 (luck of the draw sometimes).
