Hello,
I bought a new eeepc with win7, its currently running 32 bit, and i would like to upgrade to 64 bit.

how can i get the 64 bit software to upgrade? (i read that the key is interchangable)

Also, i have an old version of 64bit, that we used for win7 beta. will that do?

The key is interchangeable, but you need a 64 bit install dvd. See if you can borrow one, any will do.
You might be able to get such a disk from the eee vendor.
In the past, microsoft would sell you a 64 bit dvd for a vista upgrade for $10 handling charge, I don't know if they will do so for windows-7. You might ask them.

The beta version will not do.

your current key should be fine for 64 bit. You'll have to do a clean reinstall to go from 32 bit to 64 bit. you are also going to need a 64-bit install disk. Try calling Microsoft's sales division or your regional sales office (Heck, even one of their retail stores where they do have them), may help you get a copy of the 64-bit version. There might be shipping and handling charges or they might link you to a downloadable image of the disk
