60gb v 80gb

This is an old question I am sure, but now that I'm spending 500$ I want to hear your answer again. The Playstation 3 80gb will play playstation 2 games, right? Months ago the complaint was the 60gb would but the 80gb would not. Is there anything I should know before I buy it instead of the 360? Thanks.

Are you using the U.S or Uk ps3?

I think the 60GB ps3 will let you play ps1,2 games but the other versions won't ie 20,40,80GB.

With the U.S version of the 60gb ps3 it has the hardware inside the computer to play the ps1,2 games, it has another Cpu to deal with the games. With the U.K version it only has software, it has a emulator of the ps1,2 on the harddrive.

If your thinking of getting a 360 dont get the white one, it makes a hell of alot of noise.
