Hello all,

I just bought hellgate london and while my computer runs the game at max res and settings very well (60 fps), I have run into another performance problem and was curious is to if anyone else has hit this as well.

The problem is with my mouse. The movement is terrible. I dont know how to describe it other than it seems as though it is really trying to stay alone the X and Y axis as much as possible. When you go to move the mouse at an angle it feels as if you have to break it off of the X and Y axis and then it is still not a persistant angled movement, but rather somewhat jagged. This makes playing the marksman class impossible. None of my other games do this and I play mostly FPS games. The movement is terrible and I have a decent mouse.

I have a logitech G3 lazer gaming mouse. Like I said before I run into 0 problems in other games with the mouse movement or operating system (either one, vista or xp). I am running the game on xp currently.

Any thoughts? Happening to anyone else? Am I crazy? lol

Best,

3ball

This is a problem with their game, but I only get the problem when I have more than one HG:L client open (on accident). It does the same thing though, makes it very hard to move the mouse at angles. I first noticed it when I was trying to play CS:S with the beta client open in the background... I almost smashed my mouse to death whilst cursing!

Just report it as a bug in the mean time and hope they fix it soon. I'm pretty sure they're releasing a patch today, but I don't know if that's one of the fixes.

Yea hopefully they get this fixed, because it is really unplayable for me!

Yea my roommate has an ATI card and doesnt run into this problem, but who knows. I have tried on vista and XP. It is actually somewhat playable on vista. I have turned everything down all the way and still no luck with it being normal. I have felt the normal mouse movement on 2 different comps. One nVidia and one ATI. I may betting an 8800GT or possibly the revised 8800GTS for X-mas and maybe this will help solve my issue since that isnt to far off it isn't a huge deal. I am very surprised that they would have this many problems since I am not the only one running into this. There are even cases (and this is more of what happens to me on vista) where it runs OK when you first start playin and about 30 min after playing you it starts getting worse and worse until it is back to the crap that I feel when playin XP. It just doesnt make since to me. I sure hope they manage to figure out what is causing this problem.
