Ok, I'm not as clueless as the title makes me sound.

Here is the problem.

I have a k7sva board with an atlon 1700+ proc, and in the cmos both the ram and cpu multiplier are set tp 100 and the clock shows 1100mhz, when I change it to 133 (it will allow me to do it 3 ways, ram 133/100, ram/cpu 133/133, ram/cpu 100/100) Anyway when I set it to 133/133 it shows the athlon 1700+ properly and makes it to the point where windows xp starts to load and then locks up.

I'm using 512 of pc133 ram also if that helps.

What do I need to do?

Thanks for all the help in advance

It is in the bios. Usually labeled Chipset Configuration or Advanced Chipset Configuration. The higher the number the slower the memory timings.

You will need to set memory to manual to be able to make changes.

I aint signing nothing!!!
