VPN thru Router?

In setting up a VPN on W2k Pro box, I've got to forward requests to the IP thru a Linksys Cable/Dsl Router Switch - but what port???

Oh yea...
Forward 1723, 47..
Open DMZ
Block Wan Request = Disable
IPSec PassThru = Enable
PPTP PassThru = Enable
But it feels like I got my pants down!
