Two users are logged on. Let's call them A and B. Here's what happened.
- I selected "log of {user A]" from the "start" menu (classic mode) to
get to
the "Log off Windows" screen where I selected "switch user".
(NOTE: I (user A) did not log off--just switched over to user B.)
- This switched the user to user B (who was already logged on) from a prior
session.
- User B finishes his work and then logs off from the "start" menu..
- At the "Log Off Windows" screen user B logs off.
- The screen goes grey and freezes up. Eventually the Welcome screen
reappears but (even with the "hand" ) you can't "click" on anything.
- Shouldn't it have returned immediately to the Welcome screen where
userA
could "click" on his icon and resume where he had left off (since he
had
stayed logged on?)
I had to reboot to for the sections on the Welcome screen to function.
ONE IMPORTANT NOTE: User A is running XP with the "classic" desktop while the
the other two users are using the Web style. Not sure if this is
an issue.

What am I missing here? Thanks in advance for any assistance.
