About 90% of the servers I try to connect to time out/error on me after the 10 second count. Whats the deal with that? Ive got the filter set where to my preference. Every other game connects fine. It takes at least 4 or 5 different servers before 1 connects. Anyone else having this issue?

Yea this is happening to me 2. This is something that I hope they are able to fix because I LOVE the game. I played the SP and it was amazing and me and my roommates have lan alil. It is currently my favorite game. I found that CoD 2 started having server connection problems near its end (end for me anyways) so I hope this isnt something we are going to have to deal with all the time.

they dont have enough authentication servers running currently from what i hear.

When you start up bring up console and type:

Code :

cl_connectionAttempts 30

and you should then get in

you will have to do that each time you launch cod

and by should get you in, i mean it tries to connect you more before it chucks you out.... I havent once been refused a connection to my clans cod4 server after 30 attempts.....

We saw an issue like this. Two things to try. One is the connection attempts thing, which can be set in console, or in setup files.

There's a similar error for punkbuster, which we resolved by downloading punkbuster from it's homepage and updating it, rather than using the version on the COD4 disk.

I think its been resolved now, every server I try connects instantly...Nice Job Infintity ward reacting so fast!

well actually if you put /seta infront of the command you will not have to put it in everytime. ex: /seta connectionattempts 30 or /seta com_maxfps 250 ... etc
