I recommend the version called "Far Cry".  It's your best chance at what's closest to Crysis at 60 fps with your current hardware.

I don't mean to be rude but why is that a sexy system? I would consider that to be on the lower end of the hardware scale, where as Crysis needs serious power as everyone knows.

Crysis will really struggle my friend.

Plus according to the mobility radeon and core duo specs, I would say he is using a LAPTOP.

I would say Crysis would just plain and simple not run. You might get the menu to load but that is about all. You really need  GOOD midrange card to even make Crysis playable.  It is made for hardware what will be avaliable 1 year from now. not 2 years ago.

You might be able to get 60 frames per second in the menu on a low resolution.  :D

I can run Crysis on my classic P4 machine with 7600GS AGP and 1GB DDR400.I can play on 800x600 with all graphic option set to low.

But again, fps start to drop drastically when battle with more enemy.

You need a powerful system to run at 60 fps.

Oh...Crysis...Crysis... :)

I wish everyone at my high school could be mature enough to talk PC hardware not just gaming.  You're unique... just like everyone else.

Just play FarCry.  has the same soul as Crysis and plays on "mainstream" systems just fine,.
If you're still having trouble, you can always play DOOM.
Or Wizardry for the Apple ][.
Maybe Dungeon for the Commodore Pet.  Dungeon for the IBM system 360. (enough...)

Well.. it isn't that bad

I tried to run Crysis on:

AMD Athlon XP 3200+ (2.2Ghz)
Gigabyte 6600GT (AGP)
2x512MB PC2700 333Mhz (NOT DDR2)
On an Asus A7V8X-LA

Settings:

Everything on Low, 800x600:
Avg. FPS: low 20's (23~25)
Min. FPS: 7

I found it playable.. I finished the demo 3 times and it ran relatively well.

Why does everyone alwyas say it looks so poor on low settings? It really.. REALLY does look good even on low. Go look at some screens compared to other games if you wnat, low on crysis is like medium on most other games.
