EPoX EP-8K9A vs. 2+/3+

Hey guys... my asus kt266a board just fried...

so im looking for a new mobo...
just wondering.. what are the differences between the EPoX EP-8K9A and it's older brothers?
minus hte obvious ones...like sound, raid, etc...
will the 3+ will be more potent to overclock than the plain 8K9A???

also.. if i have 4 drives, would be be faster to run 4 drives on 2ide and 2 raid than 4 drives on 2ide???

also..does anyone know the release date for the kt400a?
