I just Got Gears of War from a friend of mine... it took me ages to install, and when i start the game it runs for about 1-2 min and it crashes . i haven't had any problems with other games, it works fine on BIOSHOCK, MOH-Airbourne, etc. i downloaded a patch at gamecopyworld.com and it's now in Spanish and still having the same problem

can anyone help me with this?

i have a
Intel Core 2 Duo E6700 @stock settings
2GB RAM DDR800Mhz
Nvidia Geforce 6800GS 512MB00 425Mhz(core clock)/1000Mhz(Memory Clock)
HDD 320GB Seagate SATA
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate

I am having the same issue with my Athlon system, ATI Radeon X1800.

I downloaded a patch from gearsofwar.com, have the latest ATI and AMD CPU drivers installed. Below is the crash message:

This is one of the first results in google when searching for this crash. I found the fix by myself after finding no real fixes by googling, Even though there are lots of people experiencing it, so I decided I'll post here the fix for others to see.

If you get the "WarGame-G4WLive.exe has encountered a problem..." crash, even after updating the game: http://gearsofwar.xbox.com/pc/qfe1.htm just update your version of XLive to the latest:

Yeah I know what you mean, older threads get on search engines faster and it just feels a little weird reviving them but in this case you did well, thanks for the heads up on this one
