MSI KT4 Ultra MS-6590

Hi all,

I'm gona be getting a saphire 9700Pro graphics card and was thinking of using the MSI KT4 Ultra mainboard to run it on. Can anyone suggest whether this is the best board to use or whether they know of any simularily priced motherboards that would work aswell. Also has anyone had experience of the KT4 ultra board or the Saphire 9700 Pro card ? and if so how did u find they performed ?

That's only "my" opinion but :

The KT400 chipset you're talking about is "filled with features"
The Nforce2 is "filled with features" too

The KT400 is fast,
so is the Nforce2 some will even say it's faster.

Even if MSI is a real good board stuffer VIA chipsets tend to be buggy, so buying the last one out is out of the question if you value reliability and compatibility with other hardware. The original Nforce was ALMOST flawless the day it was out.

all things being what they are, if I were to buy the Latest and the fastest hardware money can buy, I would go with the nforce2 because VIA's latest maybe the fastest but it ain't the greatest.
