I have XP installed but do not have the key. Can I
install a new copy of XP over what I have or how Do I
install a new copy with the key?

An easy way to accomplich this is to go to http://www.magicaljellybean.com/
& download keyfinder. It will show you the key you used to install your
current version of XP. I'm sure there is a more nerdy registry way to find
it, but this works really easily.
