I need to get a good DSL/Cable modem router for my home. I would like to play games every now and again across the net and I would also like to have the best possible security. Can anyone give me some ideas?

I've got a LinkSys Cable/DSL Router/Switch, the 8 port, BEFSR81
Been runnin it for about a year now, never a problem. Ya just don't even know its there!!! Smooth...

Didn't really need 8 ports but since I needed to upgrade an old 10M hub I just went 10/100 8 port switched also - and did notice the speed increase too!!!

The worst thing? - ya ain't ever goin back once ya go there!!!

Linksys does make good reliable routers.
I'd also recommend you look into DLink as a lower-cost alternative.
