More Information

Hi!

I hope this is the correct board - but I couldn't find the answer anywhere else.

My first question: What are the exact differences between a MultiMediaCard and SecureDigital Card? My MMC has 7 pins - what about a SD Card? And what is what pin?

My Gigabyte 8IEXP Motherboard has a SD Card connector with the following pins:

SDLED, SDPWCTL-, SDCLK, SD5, SD4, SD3, SD2, VCC3, SD1, GND

they are all in one row. Which pin do I have to connect to which pin on the MMC? Is it possible to connect the MMC to the SD Card connector?

I hope somebody has an idea. If you know where I can get more information, please tell me. Thanks in advance!

Hinrich
