Well here it is, first let me say the board was stamped ELPINA not ALPINA (sorry) paused at post it reads;
Awards Modular Bios
v4.51-98 release 09/04/1998 (s?)
09/14/1998-577+ITE8661-2A5LEH0AC-00
On the board it states; AGP PRO-100
When we went further, he found out that he cannot enable internal or external cache or Windows won't boot!
even with floopy.
could there be a CPU problem concerning cache? (for some reason he beleives the cpu got very hot when he first started it without a cooler on)
And yes, you will be a enigma if you can find the drivers for this board! and I will bow to that enigma....lol..

it's model number on AMPTRON's site is:

PM-9900A MAINBOARD

go to the support section in the legacy mainboard section you'll find it.

the drivers are availlable for download.

I'm right behing you on that board (i wouldn't even park my car near it), but this poor soul's question, had a "trivia game" appeal!

he sounds cool too, even if he makes poor hardware choices.
