More Information

Hi there,

I have been playing games casually here and there.
With my new machine I got a bit more into it.

I have one simple quesiton that nags me and hopefully someone has an answer for me.

Running Vista 32 bit I am facing a fresh install.....at the latest when SP1 arrives.

Hoe can I ensure that I save and import my various game settings...in particular the levels and the progress, basically I do not want to start from the beginning. Most of the time I play single player games like Doom3, Fear, Quake 4, TR Legend, Bioshock and now also Crysis.

I play here and there and I am in different stages within all these games.

Shall I just backup the entire C:\Program files dirctory or what.

Some of the games are now being saved inn the new "saved games" folder within VIsta but not all of them.

any advice appreciated.

More Information

Your saved games will be in one of two places: The Saved Games folder, which you already know about, or in the directory for the game itself. No need to back up the entire C drive if you only want the games.
