The LG VX4500 manual states that when you are adding numbers you can
save the entry as a Speed Dial option or Voice Dial option. The Voice
Dial option is not shown as it was on my vx4400. I was under the
impression that each individual phone number could be made a voice dial
option by only pushing one button and speaking the name, as you can do
on other LG phones.

I have the LG VX6000 and I can set it as voice dial for each number, BUT I
can't figure out where to go if I want to say the name, unless I set it up
so I say it when I flip the phone open.

I just got this phone yesterday.

on the 4500 each entry to your phone book is autmotically set to voice dial..
When you go to use it. Press the side button. and give the command "contact"
and the name the way it is in the phone book

.. . . with one minor correction, if you don't mind.

I think you meant to say that each "default" entry is automatically
set to voice dial on the 4500.
