A few days ago Crytek-co-founder Cevat Yerli surprised the fan community with the announcement of these further Crysis-parts (see News). Steven Bender, boss of the animation department, has in Berlin now on the Lichtblick4D Meet & Greet-organization for the first time further details to the planned continuation well known given.

Accordingly the second part should continue not only the story around Korean and Aliens, but rather should serve also graphic with numerous reforms. Special attention lies at the same time on the sequences of movements as well as the face textures and -animations. Therewith an even more realistic game feeling is supposed to be reached. Declared goal is to be approached itself it an experience on film-level.

Incidentally Bender indicated yet that the Crysis-continuations would not be the single current projects in Crytek. It wanted to name further details however not yet.

Vor wenigen Tagen überraschte Crytek-Mitbegründer Cevat Yerli die Fangemeinde mit der Ankündigung zweier weiterer Crysis-Teile (siehe News). Steven Bender, Chef der Animationsabteilung, hat jetzt in Berlin auf der Lichtblick4D Meet & Greet-Veranstaltung erstmals weitere Details zur geplanten Fortsetzung bekannt gegeben. CrysisCrysis

Demnach soll der zweite Teil nicht nur die Geschichte um Koreaner und Aliens weiterführen, sondern auch grafisch mit zahlreichen Neuerungen aufwarten. Besonderes Augenmerk liegt dabei auf den Bewegungsabläufen sowie den Gesichtstexturen und -animationen. Damit soll ein noch realistischeres Spielgefühl erreicht werden. Erklärtes Ziel ist es sich einem Erlebnis auf Film-Niveau anzunähern.Crysis

Nebenbei deutete Bender noch an, dass die Crysis-Fortsetzungen nicht die einzigen aktuellen Projekte bei Crytek seien. Weitere Details wollte er aber noch nicht nennen.
