I just upgraded my computer. I installed the Asus P4S8X motherboard with a P4 2.4 with 533 FSB. I have a ATI 9000 pro 128 video card and the Soundblaster live audio card. I did a clean install of Windows 98SE There is 512MB of P2700 DDR memory. I have disabled the on-board sound so I could use the Soundblaster card. As soon as the found new hardware message came up on the Soundblaster card I got the great blue screen of death. I removed the audio card and rebooted and it loaded fine. Is there something I am missing or should do to have it recognize the audio card?
