Currently, the Asus A7N8X only supports the following boot devices: Floppy, LS120, SCSI, CD, IDE, ZIP, LAN2
While the Chaintech supports the following boot devices: Floppy, LS120, HD, SCSI, CDROM/DVD, ZIP, USB-ZIP, USB-FDD, USB-CDROM, UDB-HDD, LAN
Is it possible that Asus can add other devices via a BIOS upgrade release?
This is not critical for me, yet, but never know.
I ordered the board today and am reading up on it.
Never had a "top end" board before - kinda excited. Throwing in a wicked fast 1700+ too. heh.. hey, it's fast compared to my Intel 800Mhz that isn't doing anything (died/fried/who knows). At the price for the 1700+, couldn't beat it for now. Nice to know I can add it a faster CPU down the road... not to mention other goodies.
Thanks.
