Ok my friends are setting up a small lan party and the games they have are okay,...Far Cry,Quake Wars,Halo
I suggested we add Call of Duty4 and Team fortress,or at least Counter Strike.
Does anyone know what I need to do to run these games with one CD key.In other words not everyone has the games so we need to install them on each computer.They already have the network,its not their first party.Just want to add better games.

Starcraft is the only game I know that lets you make "spawns" (it's a smaller than normal install which just allows certain multiplayer connections (no online, no singleplayer). This is with one CD key, just install the full game on one PC and voila, 1 host 7 spawns (sounds like Quake Wars lol..). Wish there was more games like that.

not sure you can do this with steam games.
