i had an almost identical setup and ran at 1024x768 w/high settings and no anti aliasing.  Got about 30 fps average.  Also, Oblivion is a great game to go to the tweak guide for.  

if you aint playing at 19x12 with all high you ain't playing it j/k.

I've only just become able to play oblivion on max with forced AA.... so nice....

Forced AA doesn't do anything atall, well it didn't on my GTS 320mb...

you mean you play oblivion without AA with a 8800gts?  dear god man update your drivers or something that must look terrible, at least on my own screen you get crazy texture gaps and people look terrible.  you need at least 2x AA, hell even if i had to lower res and settings i would if it meant i could use AA.

Latest drivers = 0 difference.
