I'm overhauling my aging Athlon 900 with an xp 2700 in mind. I've picked up an Asus A7N8X and since I'll be getting an OEM version of the chip, I need to provide my own cooler. Looking through articles about coolers, the Alpha PAL8045 has piqued my interest but the compatibility charts on the company's website is a bit out of date. I'm wondering if the board has enough space for one of these things or if I should look for another cooler.

Folks at amdmb.com said this board has a problem with larger heatsinks. You may have to <A HREF="http://www.amdmb.com/article-display.php?ArticleID=209&PageID=2" target="_new">bend a capacitor to put it on top of the CPU</A>.
