A7V8X build ?

Brand new system all components:

Antec 430 w True Power Supply
ASUS A7V8X/LAN/1394/SATA/R133-UAY
XP2400+
512 Samsung DDR 333 CS2.5
WD 80 gig JB
Geforce TI4600
MITSUMI 54X ROM
Windows XP PRO

I get this error that says "no drive attached to FastTrak controller, the BIOS is not loaded" & that's it. I can't get past it to load an OS. I've done things in BIOS, but can't get the OS to load. I've jumpered the drives & cabled until I'm blue in the face, & can't seem to get it figured out. Any advice would be helpful, thanks.

I think that I have gotten past the first problem. Now I think it's OS. Goes through & checks system hardware & then comes back with "file\biosinfo.inf could not be loaded. The error code is 4096 setup cannot continue press any key to exit"

2 possible solutions:

- Disable the serial ATA controller (via the BIOS).

- In the BIOS, Try setting "PNP OS" to "No". Return it back to it's original value if it still doesent work.

Got it figured this afternoon. Bad OS disk. Got that replaced & we're off to the races!!
