I just received my replacement KT7A-Raid motherboard and am unable to save changes to the CMOS. It saves the changes upon exiting but the PC does not boot up at all when it restartes (no video, no POST message, just whirring fans). When I clear the CMOS with the CCMOS jumper it boots fine, although with defaults. I have updated the BIOS to version A9 with no effect. I have also swapped out a known good CMOS battery with no effect. I have a Duron 1.3GHz, TNT2Vanta AGP card (Jaton B-16), 512MB RAM (2x 256, PC150, NEC), a WDC Caviar 40GB 5400RPM HDD, 250W PSU and an MAudio 2496 sound card.
If anyone has any information about this problem, it would be greatly appreciated. Hopefully I won't have to swap out the mobo again. Thanks.
