I just realized my desktop computer (I tell my wife is for her) is worth twice the value of my wife's car (I bought for her).

'I don't have a problem.'

Pass me that joint.

I think I'll have a joint this summer. No idea when. I'll just make sure the keyboard is handy so you guys get entertained. It'll be a silly night.

thats right matey, forward planning is always a good thing. if thinking about summer, do it in the countryside near a stream and with a guitar. don't matter if you can't play, you will soon get the hang of it.

Small chronological list:

1st guitar - From my Grandad when I was 11. It's a bit difficult to play as it's a classical, but it's great for beach parties and women melting.

2nd guitar - Cheapo Encore Strat. Bought it when I was 18. So began the noise war with my parents.

3rd guitar - Jackson PV4 Twin Humbucker Pickups and 24 frets! It's a dream. I also bought a peddle board with wah and all sorts of gimicks. Bought this one after I got my own place. The neighbours loved me. I've had them in the loft for a year as two of us take up more room. :frown:

I play Jimi Hendrix, Black Sabbath, Metallica, Maiden etc on the electrics. Anything from Robbie Williams (women melter) to Simon & Garfunkel to The Beatles. Antthing I like the sound of really. I'm not that good, but I can keep time.

not bad at all, some nice kit. i like acoustic more. really into playing david gray at the moment. took me a while to figure out say hello wave goodbye, till i found out he uses a capo for that number, sill me. i also like a guy called roy harper, man he's a genius. zep done a tribute to him, hats off to harper. in fact i'm off to rattle out a few tunes now, thats the beauty of acoustic, i won't have to go to war with the neighbours.

Sounds like your into experienced stuff. I tend to keep to easy riffs and quick adlibs etc. I have two albums which I recommend to people for a bit of fun. "Nativity in Black" tribute album to Sabbath, and "Garage Inc." Metallica's garage days revisited stuff + more. They have some really diverse tunes, with fast & slow stuff worth hearing.

[Annoyed and blaming everyone else]cammie, you owe me money.[/Annoyed and blaming everyone else] sorry about that, must remember never to tune down a cold guitar. just done in the B string. i have a new set of Martins in a draw somewhwre, so it's not the end of the world. i'm not really that brilliant, i just find it easier to pick tunes. it's a skill i've always had, i could pick complicated tunes long before i could strum simple ones, weird eh! when people ask me to show them how a tune is picked i always end up telling them to just watch as i don't know exactly what i'm doing myself. it's a case of "don't think, just do". can you sing? if you can i envy you. the only key i can sing in is Kblunt, i can't even whistle in tune. off to watch Mr Eastwood on telly for a while now.

Oh, wow ... I didn't know you could play!

I've been playing, writing and composing for years and years. I've played in several bands, working primarily as the lead singer and keyboard player. But I've played in some electric rock bands, too, and at one time, I had 15 guitars, from an old '65 Fender Jaguar to a Black Beauty. You couldn't walk through the house without navigating around a full stack, a drum kit, monitors, speakers, wires, and half a dozen instruments scattered all over the place.

I've got a full size digital keyboard and a custom-shop Guild right in the middle of my bedroom even now, just in case I get the "urge", or think of something I really need to walk through, like a chord progression turnaround I've heard on the radio, or a solo with tricky fingering.

It doesn't surprise me that you are musically inclined ... many people who are into computers seem to also have some leanings in that direction.

Very cool.

Do you have a desktop with RAID error, watercooling, etc. Or is your wife's car just 'cheap'.

You can play David Gray's Say Hello Wave Goodbye? I've been trying to learn that song, but I can't find the tabs to it anywhere? I need a lesson tomsmart, you gotta help me with that song. It sounds like he down-tunes his guitar when he plays it, but I can't figure it out as I've been playing too many other songs. You know This Years Love and any others by him? BTW, you play any Bob Marley, Ben Harper, or Weezer? Just had to ask, eheh.

Look out for #1. Don't step in #2 either.

Is it herbal tea?

That makes me wonder... is it possible to make tea out of weed.

Na, not into those fancy teas, camomille with honey however is ok. It's "salada" tea. Prob the cheapest you can buy, but when weel brewed i.e. 30-60 min, it's very savoury!

Eh! "weed tea"! haha maybe, maybe

Nambarrie here. Lovely tea. Scottish water apparently makes it taste the way it does. At least the adds say that. Never tried it anywhere else to know differently.
