Linksys WUSB11 Link Light

I am trying to get a Linksys WUSB11 adapter to connect to my wireless
router. There are already three other computers on the network. The
WUSB11 link light is very dim and blinking fast (several times/sec.)
I have two WUSB11's and they both do exactly the same thing. What
does this indicate? The owner's manual is no help. I am only trying
to go about 30 feet through ordinary house walls - no metal. My
laptop with built-in wireless can operate anywhere in the house or
yard.
