How to reset aspire 5532 laptop

Hello,
My laptop is in loging off
status, how can I reset???
I have turned off and on and
still the same, not sure if I should remove baterry while on!!

Remove power cord. Remove Battery. hold start button 30 seconds.(resets bios)

Actually, the trick I learned is different, do as mhelm suggested, but hit the power button 5-6 times, then on the last time hold for 30 seconds. I don't believe it resets bios as far as I know, but on a lot of computers it does seem to reset the power management system.
