i got a new rig a few weeks back and i have 2 8600gt graphics cards from Gigabyte and i have an AMD athlon 64 X2 4000+ and the other day when i played the Sims 2 my screen went blue and a message came up aying that there was an error and the thing restarted. i tried playing the sims 2 a few more times but it crashed again.

is the sims 2 not able to handle dual core and/or sli properly??

CONFIG:
CPU: AMD athlon 64 X2 4000+ 2.1 ghz
Mobo: ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe
RAM: Corsair XMS2 PC6400 2gb
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Se 16 320gb SATA
Graphics:2x Gigabyte Nvidia Geforce 8600gt 512 mb

first thing im gonna say is drivers. all up to date?

any patches that need to be downloaded?

and yes im pretty sure ur pc can handle sims :|

have you tried disableing SLI and simply going in with one graphics card?

well as soon as i hooked up my new rig i got the latest drivers
and i havent tried installing without SLi
