Hi all,

I just installed Crysis on my new PC and after running the game for 10-15 minutes the screen just freezes and stays like that while the sound is normal. Could this be caused by the processor, the graphic card (temps?!) or the RAM ( I have 667 even default for my MB is 800)?

My Configuration:

CPU: Intel Core2Duo E6750 2.66 @ first I ran Crysis on 3.00 then I tried on stock
MB: ASUS P5K-E
RAM: Transcend 2GB 667
GFX: ASUS Nvidia 8800GT TOP
HDD: Western Digital 500GB 7200RPM 16MB Cache

I play Crysis on 1024x768, everything on High (Windows XPSP2) and AA x4.

With Rivatuner I set when the temperature is bigger from 65C, fan to work on 100%, from 60C-65C 80% and under 60C 60%.

Best Regards,
Aleksandar 'helius' Kiselinov

make sure you have the latest drivers from nvidia. I am not sure if they are still a beta but you need the very latest.

I just saw the GFX temp on Rivatuner while playing Crysis, it went above 77C! :S Maybe that's the problem, what do u think?

Hi Helius i faced the same problem, u don't have ur CPU overclocked? I reinstaled the Nvidia drivers many times and i discovered it was because i have an overclocked CPU... try to put ur GPU and CPU in stock clocks...

Good Luck...

my gfx is factory overclocked (and i don't know how to underclock it). and my CPU was overclocked and I returned the clocks to default and again the same problem :S

I had the same problem. On my evga 8800 gts 640 @515 mhz. All I did was used Riva Tuner to turn the fan on to 100% as it was getting upwards of 67 deg core and about 55 deg ambient with stock setting. After it was 60 deg core and about 50 deg ambient. I still need some good case fans. But the problem went away.

My system
e6750 2.66
4gb super talen ddr800 cheap stuff
segate 320 gb x2 not in raid
Vista 32bit ultimate
3dmark06 9118 stock, 11550 8800gts oc to 625 2000 mhz mem
