More Information

A friend is looking to build their first system with either an Intel 2.Ghz, or a 2000Xp.

I'm looking for good, stable boards in the budget category.
Something that will last the average user a couple of years, and they can upgrade then.
I'm thinking of the MSI KT3 Ultra, or the ECS L4S8A2.
They don't need the bells and whistles, just reliability.
Video will probably be an 8500 64 or 128meg card, and 256MB of pc2700.

Thanks....

The MSI 745 Ultra for AMD ($65), or the Gigabyte GA-8SG667 for the P4 ($95).
