Would this motherboard support up to 2.8? the ad said:

"ASUS P4PE/L Motherboard for Intel P4 478 Retail w/ Intel Hyper-Threading Technology, Onboard LAN, SoundMAX Digital Audio System
Specifications:
Supported CPU: P4 Socket 478 1.4 GHz ~ 2.53+"

does the 2.53+ means above 2.53? or does it only go up to 2.53? I checked the asustek site and the P4PE apparently goes up to 3ghz, but this ad gives me doubts...can anyone clear this up for me?

Dont worry about that.P4PE support up to 3.06g or higher CPU. Maybe the ad did something wrong about that.The 845pe chipset supports Hyper-Threading Technology which is a new feature of 3.06g cpu. So it's no problem about 2.8g.

Yes it supports P4 2800MHz. The 2533MHz was the maximum P4 speed when Asus did the page...

Asus rarely updates the information on their page, which is why they put the + there.
