I bought a laptop with XP-Home and purchased a Professional upgrade. I
loaded the upgrade and proceeded to finish installation of other software and
hardware. When I tried to access MSWord, an dialog box appeared asking for a
product code. I've tried the product code from the upgrade box of XP and the
code on the bottom of my machine, but it won't accept either one.
HELP! I need this machine running NOW. Thanks for any lifeline!

You need to find your Product Key for Microsoft Word.
It is located on the sleeve in which the Microsoft Word CD
was shipped in. The Product Key for Windows XP will not
work with Microsoft Word.

You need to enter the Product Key that came attached to the
Microsoft Word CD's packaging, not the Product Key for either version
of Windows.
