today anandtech.com had a review for nfore2 mobos and the best board was EPoX.

the only things that are less than ideal in this board:

1- lack of serial ATA
2- the HS for north bridg seems to be close to socket A and will prevent you from using very very big HSF.

other than these minor matters and with a price like leadtek mobo (pricewatch.com) and add to that the best OC ability it is the best :-)
it's the best even without OC.
i'd leave both and get this one.

listen to me or wait for the next patch!

uhh, anandtech in fact said that the ASUS board is the best board for PERFORMANCE, and the epox was best value board. if someone is willing to shell out the cash for a 333bus cpu then i think its worth getting the better board.
here is the link to their FINAL WORDS http://www.anandtech.com/mb/showdoc.html?i=1759&p=40 "Thus the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe won our Editor's Choice Silver Award for best high-end motherboard for the Athlon XP platform"

i myself chose the asus, and THG liked the asus, and id trust the relaibility of the asus more myself.

btw, your pricing, i got a a7n8x DELUXE for less than what you listed. the epox price is more like the price for the a7n8x. i have a sblive audigy plat, but think ill leave it in my other computer because the deluxe has a pretty good 6 channel dolby digital system.

you'r right. i should have mentioned that ASUS A7N8X Deluxe is better, without considering the price. if the price was the same or close then i would go for ASUS board, since it has better interface and some more features.
The least price i can find for A7N8X Deluxe is 136+6 wile the least for EPoX is 117.
if people just want to go for specific brand name then why should they bother and read reviews?

listen to me or wait for the next patch!
