Hi i would think you could go to the gigabyte site, search for your board, and it will tell you this i think, and also it should, or may have a bios update for your board that will update it to take a higher clocked processor.

I CANT TAKE IT ANYMORE,,<--- comes out of the closet screaming i am an AMD bieocth fan boy..

well i found a bios update file thats says

1. Recognize correctly AthlonXP 2400+, 2600+ CPU. (133 FSB only)

so i guess it can go at least up to a 2600 right? also when they say 2600+ what does the + mean? it can possibly support fast processors in the future?

the "+" is a part of all the Athlon XP names....1800+, 2000+, etc.

Whether or not your Motherboard can support higher than the 2600+ processor I have no idea.
