Hi,

I have a notebook with a widescreen XGA monitor. To make things a little bigger, I changed from 96 dpi to 120 dpi. Worked great, but now I have a couple of other problems:

* Blurry/jagged icons in the Taskbar, Quick Launch, the Start Menu sub-menus (the main Start menu icons when you first click Start look perfect). The icons on the Desktop are also fine.

* The fonts for programs such as Real Player, Windows Media Player, and others are too big/too small for their own alloted space.

I have heard of other users with widescreens having similar issues. Apparently, it is a Windows XP problem that Micro$oft has decided to not address. Can these be fixed?

Thanks,
Jlc

Use display properties Appearance tab / Advanced, then change font sizes and icon sizes to where you like them. Changing the entire system to 120 DPI has been known to cause problems.
