Crumpler Bags Deals: Worth It at 45% OFF?

Planning to get a laptop bag for my daughter... came across this:

That so-called dreadful embarrassment seems perfect for my kid's laptop, since it's a messenger bag (she totally insisted). Worth it? Some of my friends told me that Crumpler Bags are just overpriced canvas bags with minimal padding. Still, maybe the 45% discount equalizes things a bit?

Well, that does drop the price a lot. Though thanks to their "stylish" nature, all Crumpler bags scream "steal me!" IMO. Like their backpacks though, since they've got better padding than the messenger bags.

I'd prefer a good laptop sleeve that lets you choose from a wider array of messenger bags.
Something less obviously having a laptop inside.
And you can usually find a better bargain on a generic messenger bag.
